The report was produced to provide critical data for both local authorities and private businesses to chart a course in bringing new investments and existing company relocation to the Jyväskylä and Central Finland area.
Investment in education and start-up development key to growth
In order for the industry to grow and compete with other countries, properly funded education programs are essential for local authorities to take advantage of the rise in this sector.

The classroom to boardroom pipeline
Education is only useful if there are jobs or start-up support available after graduation.
Talent retention in the Jyväskylä area is a critical factor in our joint success. Too many people leave after graduation to larger cities.
No single entity can achieve this. It requires expertise from local actors like Expa and institutions that run local infrastructure to help good business ideas turn into good businesses and attract existing entities to relocate to Jyväskylä.
Peliosuuskunta Expa is leading the effort in advocating for local business development an d local authority support in the industry.
Expa regularly holds meet-up events and recruitment days in an effort to raise the amount of activity that come from Central Finland.
