Everyone means everyone. From the business owners to the student who has an idea for a game but has yet to begin.
Expa’s mission is to bring together all the main actors and stakeholders in the game industry and help create excitement, build cooperation, and raise the profile of the game development sector in Jyväskylä and Central Finland.
What we are aiming for
Stronger bonds through social connection
Creativity needs a place to breathe and allow new ideas to come when the foot is taken off the gas pedal so we gather together and just… enjoy.
For members and office tenants, the Digi & Game Center is open 24/7 for your social gatherings and events.
We host many social events monthly to maintain this creative community, welcome new members, and create new cooperations!

Expa Membership
As a member of Expa Game Business Co-operative, you support the local game industry and strengthen the scene in Jyväskylä and Central Finland. While most Expa activities are free of charge and open to all – Expa members are entitled to various benefits and discounts from Expa and its partners.
- The joining fee is 25€.
- After being accepted as a member, there is a refundable 50€ share payment.
The share payment is refundable if you decide to resign your
membership. There are no annual membership fees. The payment information will be sent to you via email within a few days of receiving your application form.
The Progress goes simple like this to be accepted as Member:
- Apply
- Pay needed fees
- Accepted – Decision of the Board
- Get details that you have been accepted
- Receive the much-converted and prestigious Expa member card.
Also companies can join as supporting members of Expa.
For companies and alike:
The joining fee is 250€ (non-refundable).

Volunteering is fun, brings you great benefits!
The Digi & Game Center and Expa are places for everyone. Our strength comes from community strength. We invite you to help us by volunteering some time to organise and participate in events, or, if you have an idea for your event, we can host you!
Regular Expa volunteers gets benefits :
- Expand Your personal network!
- Meet interesting people in the game industry (possibility to find internships, careers, etc)
- Good stuff to put as referral on Your CV (being part of game industry communities around the Finland and the World)
- Invitations to Expa/IGDA JKL volunteer rewarding events (Cool things done together)
